Principals  
Grant McDonald
Grant has been specializing in the employee benefits field for over 20 years.  He began his career in 1985 with MetLife as a national accounts sales and service executive, where he received extensive training in health and welfare underwriting, plan funding arrangements, and plan accounting.  In 1990, Grant was recruited and joined a large, regional brokerage firm, where he continued to develop his expertise in corporate health and welfare planning.  During his tenure with this firm, Grant became Vice President and a shareholder of the company.  In 1998, Grant joined Robert P. Rogers, his now retired partner, to form TRUEbenefits.  Grant is a member of Premera Blue Cross’ Broker Advisory Council, past Board Member of Western Pension and Benefits Conference, and is a graduate of the University of California-Davis.
 
Brent Schlosstein
Brent has been a leader in the employee benefit industry for almost 25 years. He initially honed his skills at the largest, privately held insurance brokerage firm in the world, Johnson & Higgins (now a part of Mercer). After moving to a regional brokerage firm for a year, Brent worked for Diversified Financial Services and led their Employee Benefit division. In early 1994, Brent acquired the Employee Benefit division and in 1997, renamed it Castlerock Benefits Group. Currently, Brent is a member of the Wellness & Population Health Management Committee of the Benefit Advisors Network, the nation’s premier, independent employee benefit consulting consortium. He is also a Board Member of the Lake Washington Human Resources Association (LWHRA) and member of Washington Dental Service’s Broker Advisory Council.  He is a graduate of the University of Washington.
 
Steve Bean
Steve has over 20 years of employee benefit experience. Steve worked for 13 years with the Guardian Life Insurance Company representing their group benefits, completing his career with them as the Regional Group Manager for five years.  Steve joined TRUEbenefits in December 2000 to help manage and grow our firm. Steve earned the designations of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania), Registered Health Underwriter, and Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (both from The American College). He graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Finance and International Business with Minors in Economics and French Language.
