  • Review plan design and prepare reports analyzing your current programs.
  • Counsel, advise and recommend specific benefit plans which will accomplish company objectives and obligations.
  • Benchmark plan design and costs with national survey data.
  • Review industry and benefit trends.
  • Make recommendations on options for all components of the benefit program.
  • Ensure documents, contracts, agreements and summary plan descriptions are accurate.
Benefit Plan Marketing

  • Periodically market each benefit plan to ensure service levels meet your expectations and costs are competitive.
  • Determine appropriate funding mechanisms congruent with budgetary constraints.
  • Analyze proposals, make recommendations and assist in their implementation.
Financial Monitoring

  • Provide a meaningful analysis of monthly claims experience with graphic illustrations.
  • Prepare periodic reports detailing plan utilization.
  • Project expected costs to assist in setting employer and employee contributions.
  • Evaluate the performance of cost containment programs and make recommendations regarding such programs.
  • Assist in establishing appropriate claim reserves.
  • Prepare an annual report analyzing experience, expenses and plan modifications.
  • Evaluate insured and self-funded options.
  • Challenge all renewal offers after analyzing rate and contract provisions.
  • Audit and verify claim and utilization figures presented in renewal calculations.
Government & Legislative Compliance

  • Provide continuous updates on pending legislative issues.
  • Assist in compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA, COBRA, etc.
  • Prepare signature-ready Form 5500's
  • Assist in preparing summary plan descriptions (SPD), summary annual reports (SAR) and summary of material modifications (SMM).
Employee Communications & Plan Administration

  • Prepare announcement letters and memos, benefit summaries and employee booklets.
  • Develop enrollment materials, including customized enrollment forms and identification cards.
  • Conduct open enrollment and educational meetings.
  • Prepare, tally and analyze employee surveys to gauge perceptions, enrollment behavior and plan selection motivators.
  • Develop customized, Employee Benefit Statements.
  • As appropriate, obtain foreign language translations of plan materials.
TRUEservice

  • Provide employee access to our Client Service Center.
  • Document calls from client's employees pursuant to HIPAA.
  • Serve as employer and employee advocate in mediating benefit issues.
  • Provide for a review of marginal or questionable claims and participate in the claims appeal process.
